I GOT TO WRITE A STAR WARS NOVEL!!!
First of all — SORCERESS, the third book in the SPELLCASTER trilogy, is coming out tomorrow! Can you believe it? Find out how Nadia, Mateo and Verlaine manage to defeat the forces of evil … and exactly which side Asa ultimately decides to be on.
Second, if you want a signed copy of SORCERESS, or A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU, or any of my other books, you might want to join me and a few other fabulous authors on the “Girls Gone Sci-Fi” tour, starting March 16? Want to learn more? Read on …
I’m just back from my incredible tour in the Philippines — seriously, huge thanks to everyone who welcomed me and Madeleine Roux, because that was tremendous. And now that I’ve returned, it’s time to look at some of the amazing stuff going on as we lead up to the Nov. 4 release of A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU!
Only TWO MONTHS until A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU launches on Nov. 4! I’ve been looking forward to you guys reading this one for so long that it’s hard to believe the wait is nearly over. And very soon, I’ll take to the road for a series of events both in the US and abroad to help introduce ATPOY to the world. Wondering if I’m headed anywhere near you? Then keep reading —
OK, the part of the song about bringing my baby back home is not true. Also, technically, I will be in Independence, MO, instead of KC. But if you live in that area, I’m headed your way!
(You guys know what movie the blog title is from, right?)
STEADFAST is out in the wild, roaming free! The second book in the SPELLCASTER trilogy made its debut Tuesday — Mardi Gras — which meant I got to celebrate by wearing a glitter top hat. (I mean, I would probably have worn that anyway, but Mardi Gras allowed me to do so in public without anyone blinking twice.) So you only have until this Tuesday to get in on the contest fun —
The winners of the last contest before we start the big countdown to STEADFAST are these lucky women: Yuliya, who gets INSOMNIA by J.R. Johannson; Tamara, who gets SEKRET by Lindsay Smith; and Becca, who gets PANIC by Lauren Oliver. Congrats one and all! More ARC contests will happen in the future, but not until after the big STEADFAST contest (starting tomorrow!) Right now, I want to talk about two upcoming appearances:
At the very last moment, I can announce an appearance in the Bay Area, where I’m spending a little time this month (and finishing SORCERESS). Got some free time this Sunday? Can you get to Belmont, CA? Then I have good news: I’ll be appearing there this Sunday, December 15, at 3 pm. More details (address, contact phone) in the News & Events section. But I hope to see some of you there!
Just reminding you guys in the DC area that I’ll be appearing (together with the fabulous Elizabeth Scott) at the Barnes & Noble in Tyson’s Corner, VA on Saturday, June 27 at 1 p.m. That’s this Saturday! I hope to see some of you guys there! I don’t think we are doing any major event — just hanging out and signing — but that’s all the more reason to come by, because I hope to really have a chance to talk with some of you.
I’m hanging out watching the death tribute documentaries for Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. For people of Generation X, this is basically watching our childhoods crumble. I remember running around pretending to be one of Charlie’s Angels in first grade (though, as I could already read, I always played Sabrina, the Kate Jackson character, instead of Jill. Such is kindergarten.) And “Thriller”! I think I can do the Thriller dance from memory. Rumor has it that there might be a Thriller dance tomorrow in Times Square; if so, I AM THERE.
